The memory game is one of the most enjoyable games available on digital media and is available in different versions both as a digital game and as a physical game. In the game generator it is possible to produce different memory games, including changes and updates of the nature of the game, its visibility and other features. In this post we will cover how to create a memory game and use the game in the game generator.
What is the memory game?
In the memory game in its most basic version, you have to find and connect a matching pair of cards from different pairs of cards, with all of them placed on their backs to the players and spread randomly on a board. The players turn over the cards and in turn try to find as many matching pairs as possible. The compatibility can be when the cards are identical and have the same content, or when they have complementary content, for example: a question and an answer, a word in English and its meaning in Hebrew, a mathematical question and its solution, etc. The memory game in the ClapLab game generator is adapted to create identical or complementary questions and content in the game itself.
How do you create the memory game?
- Enter the game generator ClapLab , register and connect.
- Click on create a new game. Choose the memory game or Memory Game.
- In editing the game click on editing questions.
- In the list that opens, type the words that will appear on the cards, or upload pictures that will be the match you need to find.
- You can create identical or complementary cards. The completion can be in pictures or texts (or both).
- Enter all the cards you want to appear .
- Keepers and the “memory game” is ready!
Game settings in the memory game
Editing the memory game is possible Enter the settings that change the appearance and structure of the game using the Game Settings button.
- Change the image that will appear on the back of the card to any image you want.
- Choose the base color of the cards.
- Change the font size of the texts that will appear on the cards.
- Choose the size of the cards, the distance between the cards and the number of cards in each row and column. The division is selected according to computer display and according to smart phone display.
- Also, it is possible to divide the visibility of the game into two blocks, so that the players know that the first card is chosen from the upper block, and the matching/complementary card from the lower block.
