When we wrote the vision of the game generator, one of the things we imagined was a place and time where the game creators gather, and together produce games on a certain topic – a ClapLab workshop for Hanukkah.
This week we will hold a Zoom meeting where for the first time we will hold such a workshop that is open to all users.
In the workshop, users of the generator will gather and together we will create games for Hanukkah.
The games will be gathered on a website that we will build especially for the holiday and where the created games will be presented, of course with credit to the creators.
How does the ClapLab workshop for Hanukkah work?
Usually, we physically arrive at the workshop at a certain place, or zoom, and then give training and a demonstration on the use of the generator.
Together with the organizers of the workshop we choose a central topic.
After the main topic is chosen – create games with the participants.
The games from the workshop are uploaded to a dedicated website or to the website of the ordering body.
The work in the workshop is individual, paired or group, depending on the choice of the participants.
In the game workshop for Hanukkah we will work in exactly the same way.
The participants will gather in Zoom, we will connect the topics to the games, we will divide into work groups on certain games and we will go to the development of the games.
What do the participants in the ClapLab workshop get?
The participants in the workshop receive our accompaniment throughout the workshop.
Whether in choosing the right game for the idea they are developing, writing correct questions for games, how to game content, technical support in the use of the generator, editing of graphic elements if necessary, feedback and joint work of all participants on the games.
Of course, after the game is ready, also the main thing – distributing and uploading the game to the dedicated site and also here to the ClapLab training site.
